Peichen Jane Lee - President & CEO Jane is a co-founder of UNICON International, Inc. with over 25 years of IT industry experience. She assumed the responsibility as the President and CEO of the company since 1993. Jane not only successfully leads and grows UNICON to become one of the top 10 IT service firms and W/MBE enterprises in the Central Ohio area, but is also recognized as a dynamic female executive and a role model for many female professionals and Asian Americans. Jane has been nominated for several awards, and was featured in many reputable publications such as Minority Business Network USA, Columbus CEO magazine and Columbus Dispatch newspaper. As the President and CEO of UNICON, Jane is in charge of setting the overall company direction, annual goals and objectives, as well as defining corporate strategies to ensure the continued growth and success of UNICON in the highly competitive market place. Prior to joining UNICON, Jane worked as a Technical Manager for AT&T Bell Laboratories responsible for managing large-scale IT projects with hands-on experience in project planning, management, development, testing, integration, lab and environment support, technical documentation and customer and SW/HW vendor management. Jane was the first Asian American female promoted to a Technical Manager position in AT&T Columbus location. Her background includes a Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Houston and study with Harvard Business School OPM program. Michael McAlear - Vice President Mike started with UNICON in 1995 working as a senior system consultant at Alcatel-Lucent. While there, he worked on Alcatel-Lucent’s network management system for their GSM wireless offering, responsible for leading development efforts related to performance management and the integration with new cellular equipment. In 1998, Mike transitioned to a business role within UNICON’s internal staff. His initial focus was performing UNICON’s sales and support activities for Alcatel-Lucent. In this role, he helped significantly increase UNICON’s footprint within Alcatel-Lucent, while also starting its project services business. Over time, Mike continued to help UNICON expand its overall capabilities and client base. In 2002, he was promoted to a Vice President, where he is now responsible for defining UNICON's sales and marketing strategies, while also managing overall service offerings. Under his direction, UNICON has dramatically increased its client base, regularly achieved double digit growth, and is now recognized as a top IT firm in Central Ohio. Mike possesses a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from the Ohio State University. Li-Hung David Lee - Vice President David joined UNICON in March, 2000 and assumed the responsibility as Vice President of Operations and Logistics since 2007 He is in charge of Finance & Accounting, Human Resources and Operations and Logistics. Prior to his current role, David was responsible for application software development and maintenance as well as environment support as a Program Manager/Team Lead at Lucent Technologies, where he was employed for over 10 years. David brought with him significant amount of experience in customer technical support and product deployment both nationally and internationally in the Telecommunication Industry. He also has extensive hands-on experience in software development and testing for real-time systems. David holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Cheng-Kung University in Taiwan and a M.S. degree in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technologies. Rich Johnston - Director, IT Services Rich serves as a Director in our Technology Solutions Business Unit and has responsibility for developing and supporting our customers in the Federal and State Governments, and in the Financial and Banking industries. Rich complemented the UNICON leadership team with his skills in computer security, system architecture design, performance analysis, quality management and independent verification and validation (IV&V). In addition, he had extensive experience in designing systems that utilized IBM mainframe, UNIX, .NET and JAVA technologies. Rich has lectured on computer science and quality topics at various colleges and universities and at software symposiums. He has 35 years of IT experiences and holds an M.S. degree and a B.S. degree from West Virginia University in Computer Science. Rich is also a former U. S. Army Officer, where he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his contribution in the area of software application design, quality and analysis. Chris Anderson - Director, IT Services As a Director in our Technology Solution Business Unit, Chris is responsible for leading project teams where he provides hands-on technical leadership with a focus on meeting critical customer needs according to strict time and cost constraints. Chris joined UNICON with over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry. He has an extensive background in all phases of the project development lifecycle with particular emphasis on project management, systems analysis, software architecture, software development, and software verification. He has worked in the telecommunications, database, and medical billing industries in the private sector and has worked on permitting/reporting systems and grant management systems in the public sector. Chris holds B.S degrees in Systems Analysis and Mathematics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and an M.S. degree from the Ohio State University in Computer and Information Science. He is also a former adjunct faculty member in computer science at Franklin University. Laura Reed - Director, Corporate Sourcing Laura Reed - Director, Corporate Sourcing: Laura manages the Technical Recruiting and Strategic Sourcing teams to ensure a constant influx of quality talent from the market in the skill sets that our clients demand. With 13 years employment industry experience and 9 years recruiting experience in the technical industry Laura is able to share her expertise with the sourcing team to concentrate on long-term sourcing solutions and candidate relationships without sacrificing speed to meet client expectations. Through her guidance the sourcing team has achieved a minimum of double digit growth in placements in each of the last three years. Prior to being promoted to Director, Corporate Sourcing in 2008, Laura held several positions with UNICON dating back to 2000. She joined the company as a Technical Recruiter, added Business Development responsibilities and was then promoted to Human Resources Manager, a position she held for 5 years. Laura received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management, Marketing and Human Resources Management from Ohio University and she has been a Certified Sr. Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 2003. Laura is active in the community through her participation in the Ohio Child Conservation League through which she has held several local and regional offices.
