UNICON International, Inc. is proud to announce that it has achieved a significant milestone by reaching its 20th year of operations. UNICON President and CEO, Pei-chen Jane Lee commented, “Despite the realization of how fast time flew by while watching our kids grow, it is still hard to believe that 20 years has actually passed since June 1990 when we first opened our doors. Over the past 20 years, we have all seen many changes: technologies evolved by leaps and bounds; the economy and IT industry have both experienced ups and downs; clients and associates grew through both good and challenging times; and the world went through many major divisions and re-constructions.”
During this time, UNICON has grown from a small, start-up company, to a leading IT consulting company, providing services to both private and public sector clients throughout the nation in areas such as application development, project management, system integration, and infrastructure support. Regardless of the changes, UNICON continues to firmly stand by its commitment to be their clients’ “Best IT Partner for Success.”
Reflecting on the past 20 years, Pei-chen added, “We have so much to be thankful for: to our clients for their business; to our associates for their contribution; to our suppliers for their service; and to our friends and community for their support.”

Honda Recognizes UNICON as the 2010 Information Systems Consulting Supplier of the Year
At Honda’s Annual Supplier Conference held on June 8, 2010, Honda recognized UNICON International, Inc. as their 2010 Supplier of the Year in the Information Systems Consulting category. Honda commended UNICON for its ability to provide technical consulting services in a number of areas that have contributed to Honda’s competitiveness and success in 2009 and 2010.
This is the second time Honda has honored UNICON as a top supplier, having awarded them the same distinction in 2006. “To be recognized by Honda as its top information systems consulting supplier once, let alone twice, is one of the greatest accomplishments that we have achieved,” said UNICON’s President and CEO, Pei-Chen Jane Lee. “On top of this, to receive this recognition during our 20th year of operations is truly special. Honda is a great client, and we look forward to increasing our collaboration with them in the future.”
Honda utilizes this annual supplier conference to recognize their top suppliers, as well as to reflect on the previous year and set direction for the future in an auto industry that is facing a new reality of increased competition, rapid changes in technology and increasing demands for innovation in environmental areas. With more than 5000 suppliers, Honda invited 200 suppliers to attend the conference, and recognized 12 recipients in different categories.
“Today, we are acknowledging an outstanding group of suppliers that exemplify Honda’s philosophy of delivering the highest possible value to our customers through their quality products and customer service,” said Jan Gansheimer, who manages purchasing for Honda of America Mfg., Inc. “While our industry faces significant challenges, all of us at Honda thank them for their contribution to Honda’s success.”
Founded in 1990 in Columbus, Ohio, UNICON provides IT consulting services to a number of private and public-sector clients in a variety of areas, including application development, project management, risk management, system integration, and infrastructure support.
