UNICON’s Community Service Committee, founded by UNICON employees, organized a clean up activity along Broad Street on the east side of Columbus near the company’s Corporate Headquarters. UNICON is partnering with the Keep Columbus Beautiful organization that is a City of Columbus initiative. UNICON is making a commitment to clean up our neighborhood at least 3 times a year. Upon completion of 3 clean ups Keep Columbus Beautiful will put up a sign to denote that UNICON has adopted this area.

Fifteen volunteers participated in the first clean up activity on Friday June 20 picking up trash along Broad Street from the 270 interchange to Rosehill Road. They collected about 40 bags of trash in approximately 2 hours. Many employees said it was well worth the effort and the positive comments and “thumbs-up” they received from people passing by in their cars were very encouraging.
