For the fourth consecutive year, UNICON supported Prevent Blindness Ohio's (PBO's) annual Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament on August 15th at the Columbus Country Club.  Based on the contributions of UNICON and other participants, this outing was able to raise more than $82,000 toward the sight-saving services of PBO.

PBO reaches more than 800,000 individuals each year through public information, research, and early detection. They partner with eye professionals around the state to provide comprehensive eye care to those who cannot afford exams, glasses, or medications.  In addition, PBO educates and informs the public about the risk factors involved with eye health and safety, as well as the importance of seeking regular eye care.  More than half of all blindness is preventable and PBO dedicates itself to improving the vision and lives of those people most at risk for eye disease and injury.
