UNICON International, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s Division of Air Pollution Control to provide a web-based permitting and reporting IT system. The proposed system will replace existing manual processes and legacy systems for conducting DAPC business processes including administration of the permitting process, emissions reporting by regulated facilities, and meeting external interface requirements with upstream systems.

UNICON was honored to be recognized as one of the Supplier of the Year Finalist by JP Morgan Chase and Company. An award was presented to Mrs. Jane Lee, President of UNICON, by Mr. Dean Weinberg, JPMC Exeuctive Vice President - Head of Global General Services, in the annual Holiday Connection Workshop and Awards Reception held on Tuesday, December 13 at JPMorgan Chase World Headquarters, 270 Park Avenue, New York, New York.

UNICON was recognized as a Class III 2005 MBE of the Year Finalist by the South Central Ohio Minority Business Council (SCOMBC). Class III is categorized for suppliers with annual sales between $10 and $49 million. The criteria for the nomination include letters of recommendation from 3 major customers, outstanding business performance in the areas of quality of products/services, delivery, competitiveness and servicing, to innovative approaches and cost-savings initiatives.

UNICON successfully partnered with one of the Nation’s major ERP suppliers to provide consulting services to develop and deliver trainings to users within City of Toledo in assisting City to roll out one of their new ERP Applications for one of City’s departments.
